Mirrorless Interchangeable Lenses (MIL) Camera Market Data
Not too long ago, I read some marketing data from IDC shows that Mirrorless Interchangeable Lenses (MIL) camera shipments from 2008 to 2010 has been growing and IDC also projects that DSLR market will be eroded by MIL market from 2011 to 2014. According to IDC, MIL shipments in 2009, 2010, and 2011 are expected to be 449K units, 1.53mn units and 5.40mn units respectively. With the strong momentum to switch to MIL, it is also optimistic that MIL is to surpass DSLR in 2013.
