This site is for sharing of my photography experience from many different perspectives, i.e. market, technology, photo-shooting style that I learnt along the way. I'm a technical person, I'm always finding it hard to take a good photo, hoping this site will record my way to photography. Furthermore, I will be sharing my experience more in Micro Four Third (MFT) technology as this is my focus!
Had a stroll downstairs my house and suddenly have the impulse to take some shot from my Samsung Galaxy S2 camera. I take few flowers shots shown below, the first photo didn't focus on the subject that i wanted, the background is in focus. This is probably due to the camera is too close to the subject.
For the photo below, i just "tap to focus" the flower, the flower is now in focus.
For the third shot, i set the camera SCN setting to "Text" since there is no "macro" mode for the default camera application. It's given much better color and saturation than the default mode. The background blur is quite decent for this kind of mobile phone camera.
It had been a busy days for me for these few weeks for my part time study, just happened to see a chance to take a picture, the girl is standing in front of me and Waiting for bus to come ...

Happened to know this product from Stuff magazine (March 2012), i've been thinking to invest in some of the old film type rangefinder camera not too long ago, if i have any film type camera, i will probably buy one as the cost is reasonable (USD60, according to Stuff magazine).

A lot of time we forgot what the best that we have. Yesterday, i received an email from a friend, Eddie, said that he want the following photo. As they are too many photos in the shooting day and i just blindly ignore this photo, actually, this is really a nice story: A composing in progress, 3 models, one photographer and one director for this shooting ... does it tell the story? I just like it the way that it present...
Happened to have chance to meet Eric Kim (http://erickimphotography.com/blog/) in recent Leica V-Lux 3 launching (http://www.leica-store.sg/proximity/). First time seeing him face by face, my feeling is: he is a cheerful and full of warmth guy and he is kind enough to lend me his Leica M9 to play around for awhile. It's great to try this camera with manual focus, amazing! but i dun think it will be affordable for me to buy such a "Ferrari" in my life.
In the event, i'm also lucky enough to see my friend, Steven Ma, there. And lucky enough to knew his friend, Eddie Lim. This guy also amazed me by showing off his Leica M6 camera (SGD1800 for body only... Leica standard, i know you never buy lens less than $200.. haha ...) and Kodak camera (I remember this is an autofocus camera, dun nid adjust too much, just point and shoot, love to see the photos taken by this camera.). Both are fantactic! Additionally, Steven and Eddie are sharing some of their manual film camera experiece with me, it's really benefit me a lot.
This event broke my many "FIRST" as in got the chance to touch the legend Leica M9 and M6 camera. Let's see some of the photos below. (Shit! i juz realized that i forgot to take a close picture of Eddie M6 and Kodak film camera, forgot the Kodak film model as well ...)

o... i like the following shot, but candid moment is always not repeatable. I set the ISO to 800 and caused the shutter speed at a very slooow speed, 1/3 sec and cause the picture a bit of "shaky". if i set the ISO to 1600 or even higher, i think the result shld be better ... (or maybe i shld buy a pancake lenses, Panasonic 20mm F/1.7)

Brought my new G3 out today to take some street shooting, doing some quick point and shoot therapy near my house.
Very minor auto-tuning done on the Lightroom.
I take the following photo at the overhead bridge at Bangkit, i didn't expect the color turn out to be so nice and provide enough depth of field for the main subject, lantern.

I took the photo below at around 715pm, i set the ISO to 1250, the actual environment is dimmer than we can see from the photo, the excellent G3 sensor help me to "brighten" up the scene and "capture" more.
